Wedholm’s Fish Restaurant and Melander’s at NK

Åke Axelsson’s S 324 chairs with an extra-high back were chosen for the traditional restaurant in Stockholm. Chairs S 217 and Moderna were chosen for Melander’s at NK Market and NK Art Bakery together with stools from Åke’s own workshop. The new, egg-shaped tables are also Åke’s design. S 217 was his first mass-produced chair, designed for Gärsnäs in 1963 and still in production. Melander’s chairs are a special version with a somewhat higher back.
