The Riksdag Library, StockholM

The Riksdag Library in Stockholm’s Old Town provides a knowledge bank for members of the Swedish parliament and houses the history of democracy in Sweden. Åke Axelsson was in charge of creating a new home for the library in a former bank from the 1870s. The library is a real tour de force; unparalleled as to its function and with a pleasant, concentrated atmosphere. On certain days the library is open to the public.
