Värmlands Museum, Karlstad
2012 - 2018
Åke Axelsson created the interior and the furniture for the older part of the museum which was designed by Cyrillus Johansson and opened in 1929. For a new library Åke produced bookshelves, tables, stools and chairs, among them his rocking chair and the Bohem chair. For the atrium he produced a sculptural seat made of concrete as well as sturdy benches of close-grained spruce.
